Dr. Harrison Wang

Dr. Harrison Wang is the Chairman and a founding partner of Gryphus Capital; and is responsible for Origination and Investments.

Harrison's experience includes being a Managing Partner of Pine Tree Holdings and a Key Man of Pine Tree Equity, a private equity fund established and wholly sponsored by AIG for distressed assets investment in Korea. Prior to Pine Tree, Harrison was the CEO of e-millennium Asia fund, a strategic private equity fund set up by Deutsche Bank; the Managing Director of Business Development Asia for GE Capital, heading up the mergers and acquisition in Asia; and the Managing Director of the Emerging Market Group, responsible for GE Capital’s local businesses in Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore. Prior to GE, Harrison had extensive experience in venture capital, technology development, and cross border transactions in the Silicon Valley.

Harrison holds a Ph.D. in Robotics from Stanford University. He has served as board directors for numerous companies (public and private) in Asia and US.

Graham Light

Graham is a founding Partner of Gryphus Capital and is responsible for Investment Process and Risk Management. He is Chairman of the Investment Committee.

Graham's experience includes being a Managing Director and Divisional Board Member, Head of Investment Management (IM) at WestLB. He was responsible for restructuring the balance sheet into a US$108 billion IM portfolio incorporating all Private Equity, Hedge Fund, Distressed/ Special Situations, Credit, Tax, Specialist Finance & Structured vehicles, including over US$3bn in third party portfolios. Prior to WestLB, Graham was a Managing Director and founding partner of e-millennium Asia Fund, a strategic private equity fund set up by Deutsche Bank, responsible for Investment Process and Risk Management. Graham has also held roles in trading and risk management at Tudor Proprietary Trading, proprietary trading at Tokai Capital Markets, derivatives and corporate finance at Merrill Lynch and Wood Gundy.

Graham holds an M.A. in Physics from Oxford University. He is a Rhodes Scholar.

Jason Chen

Jason is a founding partner of Gryphus Capital and is responsible for Origination and Investments.

Jason's experience includes being a Vice President of AIG Capital Recovery Group and Head of the investments in Asia; Capital Recovery Group is the distressed investment team at AIG. Prior to AIG, Jason was a Vice President of Pine Tree Equity, a private equity fund established and wholly sponsored by AIG for distressed assets investment in Korea. Prior to Pine Tree, Jason was an associate of e-millennium Asia fund, a strategic private equity fund set up by Deutsche Bank. He has extensive investment and start-up experience.

Jason holds an MBA from INSEAD and a B.A. from Stanford University (US). He is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder.

Klaus Goesmann

Klaus is a founding partner of Gryphus Capital and is responsible for Finance & Reporting and Operations.

Klaus's experience includes being a Managing Director and Divisional Board Member, Group Treasurer and previously Co-Head of Investment Management at WestLB. He was responsible for global asset liability management covering capital, funding, liquidity management, asset portfolios and balance sheet management for the German Landesbank with assets of €290 billion (US$400 billion). Prior to WestLB, Klaus was a founding partner of e-millennium Asia Fund, a strategic private equity fund set up by Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for the set-up of the fund infrastructure and acted as its CFO and COO; and a Director at Deutsche Bank where his roles included Head of Strategy Asia Pacific, M&A Asia Pacific, and Deputy Global Head of Equity and Balance Sheet Management.

Klaus holds an MBA from INSEAD.

David Sin

David is a founding Partner of Gryphus Capital and is responsible for Investments and Portfolio Monitoring.

David's experience includes being an Associate Director of AIG Capital Recovery in Asia; Capital Recovery Group is the distressed investment team at AIG. Prior to AIG, David was with the Investment Banking Division and Asian Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong, where he was involved in various private investments (equity and debt), mergers and acquisitions transactions. His experience includes real estate, private equity and corporate finance transactions in Asia and Europe.

David holds an MBA from Harvard and a B.A. from Manchester University (UK).

Eamonn McConnell

Eamonn is a founding Partner of Gryphus Capital and is responsible for Marketing and Investor Relations.

Eamonn's experience includes being a founding partner of e-millennium Asia Fund, a strategic private equity fund established by Deutsche Bank; a Director of Independent Review Inc. an advisory firm working with the fund management industry in Canada; the Deputy Chairman of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) Canada; a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong and London responsible for the firm's Debt Underwriting business; a Managing Director and CIO of Thai Asia Mutual Fund company where he managed the firm's equity portfolios; a Director of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in Hong Kong and London; an associate at Wood Gundy in London.

Eamonn holds an MBA from McGill University in Canada and HEC in France. He is a CAIA Charterholder.
