Our symbol represents both the mythical creatures of the classical Gryphon and the Chinese Qilin. Our name comes from the latin name for Gryphon.
The Gryphon, Griffin or Griffon is a mythical classical creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. As the lion is traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle, the king of the birds; the Gryphon is considered a stately, majestic and powerful creature.
The Qilin (麒麟) is the Chinese mythical creature which has dragon like features, with scales, torso of a deer, an ox tail, hooves of a horse and sometimes a horn like a unicorn. It is often depicted covered in fire and is considered a symbol of luck, good omens, protection, prosperity, success, and longevity.
Together the Qilin and the Gryphon reflect the firm’s blend of Asian and global cultures uniting diverse business backgrounds in prosperity.
Gryphus Capital’s symbol is an abstract and progressive representation of the Gryphus, designed in accordance with the principles of energy, purity, and longevity.
